Think about it for a moment. Can you picture it? It might surprise you. I'm firmly convinced that the devil's favorite weapon is lies.
Think back to the Garden of Eden. That's how he got Eve… He deceived her with a lie, a half-truth.
And think about how he tempted Jesus in the wilderness… It was by taking scripture and twisting it into half-truths, charging at Him with lies. So it's no surprise that when we are told to put on the Armor of God, the very first piece we are told to put on has to do with confronting the lies of the enemy: the Belt of Truth.
